Fall along the James River
Walking along the James,
Fall is setting in,
The leaves turn different colors,
The air turns a little more crisp,
The winds blow,
The river seems brighter,
As the colors reflect the beauty,
Of Fall along the James,
Walking the shores,
Here comes a train,
The night comes early,
As we look out across the water,
The air seems cooler,
The sun glistens as it sets,
No matter the leaves,
The colors brighten the riverbank,
Further down,
The lights of the city,
Gleam against the darkened skies,
As your eyes always will be bright,
With the warmth that you feel,
When autumn hits the city of Richmond,
It is wonderful,
To see pumpkins soon,
Boating on the James,
You get quite a thrill,
See Richmond, VA,
Resting on the hill,
Passing Rockett’s Landing,
Oh my,
The joy shared is expanding,
Come one, come all,
Walk along the James River,
During the fall.
